The Idol of Wealth - 1 Timothy 6:2b-10

In this text we see more concerning the false teachers in the church where Timothy was pastoring. Amongst their heresies was a proto prosperity gospel: Christianity is a means to get rich. It taught that the gospel promises material gain. Paul corrects this false teaching, showing that true contentment is not found in riches, but only in Christ.
