The Officers of God’s Church - 1 Timothy 3:1-16

In this passage we see that there is a biblical way that the church should be led. Biblical church leadership is neither a one man stand, nor a free for all. Instead, Paul instructs Timothy that the church should be organised according to a plurality of elders and deacons. He also shows us who is qualified to serve in these offices. The point of all this is that healthy church leadership can only emerge from being rooted in biblical truth.
