Victorious over Darkness - 1 Peter 3:18-22

Peter encourages us to endure through suffering. He tells us this because though Christ suffered unjustly, ultimately he was vindicated as he was victorious over darkness. Likewise, those who are suffering for Christ’s sake will also be vindicated. Overall, we will see in this passage that because Jesus suffered for sins and defeated the powers of darkness, we belong to God and do not need to fear the dark world that surrounds us.
